Georges Posted October 27 Share #1 Posted October 27 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good morning, Did anybody try a R lens on the M11-EVF? That would be cool if it works.
Advertisement Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Hi Georges, Take a look here R lenses on the M11-EVF . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
SrMi Posted October 27 Share #2 Posted October 27 (edited) R-lenses work on M11 and M-EV1 using an R-adapter M. Caution should be exercised when attaching heavy lenses to avoid damaging the lens mount. See p. 27 of the M-EV1 manual. darylgo Posted October 27 Share #3 Posted October 27 The question needs two answers. For wide angle and normal R glass it could be a great combination. I purchased the SL2 after testing the bigger R glass on Leica, Sony and Nikon for the best ibis. The SL2 matches the lens size better for me. My favorite classical beautiful rendering Summilux is the 50 R, e55. This lens works on anything, with the SL2 it’s a better experience.
algrove Posted October 27 Share #4 Posted October 27 (edited) Of course, but I tend to like the larger and heavier R lenses on my SL3 like the 105-280. The APO 180 even with the APO 2x works just fine on the M11+Viso2. I did find the IBIS in the SL3 makes the experience say with the APO 180 a hand held a possibility. Georges Posted October 28 Author Share #5 Posted October 28 Great to hear. On my SL2, my experience is not so good. IBIS works when I use only the lens, but not when I attach the APO 2x. I guess it will be a dream to use my APO 180/3.4 (even with APO 2x) on the M11-EVF.
