M11P from preview mode to shoot mode

Good day all, 

it happens to me to watch on the rear preview screen a recently taken image before returning to shoot mode through the VF. Normally pressing the shutter button slightly turns back the camera in shooting mode but at times it stays in play mode so I cannot take the next photo. I have to insist of turn the LV off manually. 

It is not overly bothering but I missed a couple of nice shots recently. 
 

am I doing anything wrong ? Is this normal ? Is there a process that keeps the LV preview mode on anyway.

Yes Auto Review: Permanent but when pressing the shutter release or the play button you should be able to shoot immediately, on my basic M11 at least. What happens when you press the play button?

When pressing play button it goes back to shooting mode, it’s when pressing the shutter that, at times, it seems to remain on preview… it looks random at the moment but I’ll try figure out if there is a pattern leading to that

OK and what happens when pressing the shutter release all the way?

When that « glitch » happens then nothing happens… it remains in preview mode. If I release and press again it comes back 

issue is it seems a random thing so maybe there is something I am doing wrong, like a special sequence that keeps the LV in preview mode.

Do you have the touchscreen active? Switch it off (Customize Control \ Touch Mode) and see if this solves your problem. Why? when it happens, you might be accidentally touching the screen in such a way that it goes in a kind of modal pinch mode that isn't stopped/ended by the shutter button.

It happens to me with the M10-P sometimes regrettably the M10-P touchscreen cannot be switched off. It also happened within 10 minutes after arrival of my M11-P. I switched the M11-P touchscreen off and have never seen the issue again.

Yeah that must be the case, touching the screen with a finger of cheek, I’ll check this out, thanks a lot
