Always used my SL with Leica M lenses and recently started using it with sigma contemporary autofocus lenses. i noticed that in manual mode, when under or overexposed the screen is blinking when the lens acquire focus. it does not happen in A, S or M with auto iso. Luke_Miller Posted yesterday at 07:09 PM Share #2  Posted yesterday at 07:09 PM Here is what I believe is happening. The autofocus system focuses on the image on the sensor. If that image is too over or underexposed for autofocus the camera will briefly correct the exposure to one that permits autofocus. That correction is seen in the EVF. In A, S, and M with auto Iso the image is generally ok for autofocus. Many thanks for the explanation, it makes sense. I was wondering if SL2 and 3 have the same behavior or it is just a typ 601 thing
Luke_Miller Posted 21 hours ago Share #4  Posted 21 hours ago I think most of the SL and Q bodies do this. I know the Q2 does. Once I figured out what was going on I quit worrying about it. Actually it is the camera's way of asking if you are sure you want to use these exposure settings😃.
