Not sure how known this is but there is a law on the books in NYC that allows women to go topless (it's surprising in how many places they can't . We spent a day shooting around NYC and very few people noticed, though one very kind old Chinese man in Chinatown  came over to us; big smile on his face  and shook Kay's hand saying "Thank you!"

I remember this. I used to cover the Pride Parade in NYC for the Queens Tribune, and there was always controversy about the toplessness in the parade, and the police always told the spectators that were complaining that it was perfectly legal in the city.

Interesting shot.
