RQ44 Posted September 16 Share #1 Posted September 16 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Just back from 3 days working in Cairns, far north Queensland, Australia. When free for some "Me" time, I am out and about with the Q3 28mm snapping away. No street photos as the streets didn't appeal to me and the local Aboriginal people aren't very accepting of having their photos taken. Here are a few random shots. I will post more. I was warned by the locals, DO NOT ENTER the water at all, due the Salt Water Crocodiles. Local kids fishing even warned me never to go near the water. Welcome, dear visitor! Graham (G4FUJ) Posted September 16 Share #5 Posted September 16 An impressive array of satellite communications aerial domes in that last but one shot. Never made it that far north so thanks for sharing and giving an insight into the town.

I was tempted to take a jetski out to the mangroves to see a few but it was getting too late.
Photar Posted September 16 Share #9 Posted September 16 Would it be ok to add a few pictures to this thread? I visited Cairns a couple of times to go snorkelling at the reef. Never encountered any crocs, even when deliberately looking for them in the mangroves.
