I bought a bunch of old negatives that I'm 99% sure the photo's are from the early 40's. Are these official Leica negative/film holders? Or made by a camera store? (There are 2 other negatives/film holders with a sticker on them of a specific film store). Welcome, dear visitor! dg4mgr Posted September 8 Share #3 Posted September 8 On one of the pieces I see the words "nadruk verboden", which is dutch for "reprint prohibited", in German it would be "Nachdruck verboten". Btw. one of the round holders has a sticker of a photo store in Zeist. Not on the rectangular ones though. Most I haven't checked because they are uncut, and have been rolled up for perhaps 80+ years so very 'springy'. I've put some between books and will cut them and scan then when possible. Because the owner of my mint Leica Standard (delivered to CAPI Nijmegen) once lived in Zeist. It's probably just a coincidence but just in case. His/her name was C. Renz. The sticker says: Foto-Optiek M.E. van Uchelen Slotlaan 13 Zeist I found this, which further proofs these negatives are most likely from the 40's :). Welcome, dear visitor! jaapv Posted September 11 Share #11 Posted September 11 I think that the shop may have survived far longer, as I seem to recall the name from the sixties, living in Zeist (but I might be mistaken).
