businessasusual Posted September 5 Share #1 Posted September 5 Advertisement (gone after registration) I always keep my original Leica packaging (I understand this is common when talking to another Leica user) and so every time I have upgraded my Vlux’s I have held on to the older versions which are always in mint condition. Fast forward 10 years, these cameras are still working flawlessly and so I have passed them on, boxed as new, to my granddaughters who are embracing this passion with enthusiasm. It’s proven to be a fabulous way to bond, spend precious time together, and opportunity to impart some of my knowledge, get away from screen time and instill the practice of observation. I noticed, at age 2, that the eldest, Mahler, is an artist. It comes naturally to her. I’ve discovered that this has impacted on her compositions which are impressive for someone who has had little time to learn photography. The sketch is an example of her work at school - at 12, the cat was done when she was 7. (she is left handed too) I have also taught them to look after their equipment. So the relationship with Leica now continues with another generation. Here’s to many years to come. Welcome, dear visitor! Your granddaughter is indeed talented Thank you. Her mother eye rolled and dismissed me as over doting grandmother 🤣🤣when I told her we have an artist (at age 2). I was standing behind her as she was doing some drawings and I could immediately recognise the subject.

fotografr Posted September 6 Share #8 Posted September 6 Some of the best photographers I know have art backgrounds. Mahler is incredibly talented and certainly has potential. I absolutely love the cat and I hope it gets framed and hung. My neighbors have two young daughters and the oldest, age 5, has similar artistic talent. I'm doing everything I can to encourage her (but I'm not giving her my old Leicas). 1
