ApoVision Posted September 4 Share #1 Â Posted September 4 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bought a nice IIIg 892 494 a couple of months ago, not for use, just for display. Nevertheless, I like to have a camera in my hands, just to play with it. Today, I realized that moving the rewind lever from A to R (a) blocks the winding knob and (b) results in the shutter button moving downwards and (c) releases the shutter if under tension. While all such behavior makes sense to me, my IIIa only does (b) (and (c)) - but not (a). Is my IIIg working correctly - is (a) an improvement over the IIIa? Thanks for your help! TomB_tx Posted September 5 Share #5 Â Posted September 5 Thinking a bit about this change - the wind knob lock would make sure the user remembers to move the rewind lever back to advance when loading film...

Yes, mine also do this, it seems like reasonably helpful behavior.
