It feels like my SD card has a problem with its small "write protect" tab and that has caused the card to jam in the camera.  The card will come out about half way but no amount of further pulling will cause it to come out of the camera.  I've tried the end of a nylon cable tie slid down along the card in an effort to help release the problem to no avail.  Short of biting the bullet and sending the M10 body back to Leica New Jersey are there any other ideas on how to get this *&!@#% card out?

try slipping a piece of very thin plastic between the card and the side that's jammed then ease the card and plastic out.

Be careful because the 'write protect' tab can snap off (I've had this happen) and you don't want to lose it inside the camera.

Does the card go in all the way in and lock there normally? If so, does the camera think that the card is write protected?

SD cards have two small slots at opposite sides. One is for write protect detection and the other is for the locking mechanism, which will "grab" the card so that it doesn't fall out. I guess either of these could get stuck.

No, the card is still stuck.  When I push is all the way in, it works OK.  Camera allows me to shoot new images onto it.  It just won't come out.  Jams about half way out.  Too bad the camera doesn't have a USB port.  If it did I could just transfer the images with a cable.  So, I've gone back to shooting with my trusty M8 - which appreciates that I still love it...

I guess it will go back to Leica USA soon.  Wonder what that will cost me...

So what and how would waxed dental floss help?  Tartar reduction?
