I just read the thread of Sparkassenkunde and thought of it as a really cool idea to post some travel images along the way. So I went on a roadtrip to Denmark with my car, my caravan... and my Leica!

So today, I start with Bovbjerg... you care for some more?

All the best!

Yesterday was a travel day, so I took not too many pictures... We drove from Bovbjergs Klint to Skagen... no dramatic landscapes to see but we followed the Limfjord for quite a while with very picturesque views on the way.

Skagen is known for it unique light in the artist community, and I have to say they are right! Sunset on the Baltic Sea side were terrific colors... so lets see for tomorrow...

The big thing in Skagen is, that North and Baltic Sea meet right on top of the main land. So the interesting thing is that right at the point where the two Seas meet, there are waves coming from two different directions. And you can really see and feel them, what a nice nature experience!

The truth is however, that during that experience, you will not be alone...

A little further south of Skagen, there is Råbjerg Mile...

Råbjerg Mile is a migrating coastal dune between Skagen and Frederikshavn, Denmark. It is the largest moving dune in Northern Europe with an area of around 2 km2 (0.77 sq mi) and a height of 40 m (130 ft) above sea level. What a different landscape within a few kilometers... what an experience!

... and the last two pictures from the North Sea beach another two kilometers away... just because I find it quite adequate for todays big political discussion...

No more war!

All the best, Andreas

I love your photos.

Would you disclose what camera you had with you and what focal lengths? Just as a matter of interest.

My setup (so my "travel setup" if you will, but there is not much left at home 🙂) is 21mm SEM, 28mm ASPH, 35mm Cron ASPH, 50mm Lux ASPH and 90 Elmarit-M together with an M11. This fits all in my Peak Design Everyday Sling 3l bag and is perfekt for this type of travel... (actually, is it perfekt for everything since this is my photography setup!)

I have everything always with me and switch lenses as appropriate. I usually start with the 35, sometimes with the 28, and then see what comes...

So let's see what the day brings! All the best!

Great. Thank you very much. Its good to feel confirmed with what I do myself 😁.

In my small fanny pack (kleine Bauchtasche) I have space for 3 lenses plus batteries. My lenses in that case would be 21, 28, 50 and 75mm whereas the 28 would be on my camera initially. And I must confess that the 75 stays at home most of the time.

So we left the Southbeach of Skagen - we had a great time there, the light is really something special!

The last dog walk on the beach this morning...:

So again, we travelled a little further - this time back south in the Mols Bjerge National Park (east of Aarhus). This is our 4th stopover - and again - the landscapes here are really something else! What sensational views and what a light! Here is the sunset view from Trehoeje:

Superb collection, thank you for sharing.

My pleasure! Actually, I did not do a lot of effort apart from just being there - the landscapes speak for themselves, I just looked at one direction and pressed the shutter... 🙂

Jernhatten / Ebeltoft and Solystgaard Strand

Yesterday started with a quick walk with the dog on Solystgaard Strand (our camp yard) and a visit of Jernhatten east of the small city of Ebeltoft where we had dinner...

Today, we left Solystgaard Strand, a last dog walk in the morning with a wonderful morning sun... (even though the motive might be double - I just post it because I like the light SO much...)

... and we ended up somewhere close to Sonderborg in the very south of Denmark. This will be our last stopover in this wonderful country. Unfortunately nothing as spectacular as before...
