Hi everyone,

I saw discussions here on almost the same issue as I have, but not exactly the same one:

My shutter speeds are way longer than the they should be: eg. 1/125e = 1/4e (!) as I saw in the data, etc.

What I have done so far:

- changed battery for a 100% full one

- changed SD-card & formatted SD-card

- reset camera to factory settings

- tried all the ISO settings, including A

- tried all the apertures

- changed lenses

- put the camera on spot metering

- searched the internet 😉

The exposures are right though when I put the camera shutter speed dial on A and the ISO dial on A aswell. But as I can see in the data, the camera chooses the faster shutter speeds in this mode. So nothing wrong with the metering I guess. Probably the problem has to be solved by Leica, I fear, but other suggestions are more than welcome!

Thanks in advance!

I doubt that you have a problem. Exposure is just shutter speed and aperture, Auto ISO is software brightness compensation through signal amplification.  If the camera cannot compensate through ISO it will adjust the shutter speed to arrive at a proper exposure. That means that it will ignore the settings.

Thank you, I will try it outside again tomorrow in broad daylight and report

No, unfortunately the shutter speeds are completely off.. too long for what they should be (1/125 becomes 1/4 etc) in any situation (A and M settings).

I think I will go to the Leica shop and have them look at it.

Thank you very much for your ideas.

Absolutely. When the shop is not too far off your way then its the only thing you should do.
