Harper and Field of Stonehouse in Gloucestershire, UK have one of the above lenses for sale at an estimated £300-500, which is very reasonable for a Summarex lens. I already have a cased one of these, with a SGOOD finder, so of no interest to me but I though it might be of interest to other Leica collectors, given their relative scarcity (approx 4000 made). Below is photo from sale catalogue.

I find it a bit too heavy to use comfortably on a Barnack, unless on a tripod. It balances better on an M body than on one of my LTM bodies. It works very well on my M5 where the large somewhat ugly body, is an advantage. I also like it on my M4-P, which has one of the very large M4-2 winders on it to help hold the lens horizontal. I had Alan Starkie clean the lens for me. Apparently re-assembling the diaphragm was a nightmare.

That is about what I paid 10 years ago Can$1400. I presume the 30% fees would be on top of that. Looking at Collectiblend, that is now looking like a bit of a bargain. Thanks for letting me know the hammer price. I may need to push my value for insurance on my Summarex with original caps and fitted leather case up a bit.

Sold for £950.

Yes if it's working properly and free of haze, fungus, separation etc then it's a good price.  I bought a Summarex with the same accoutrements as shown above for quite a bit more than that about a year ago.  (I had been keeping my eye out for a suitable one for several years prior but poor optical or body condition was often a problem.)

then it's a good price.

I am not sure if that figure includes the 20% Buyers Commission as the Results say "Final Bid'. Although no condition comments, it looks good in photos.

Hammer price is pre-commission.
