Just a Q2 for me. I bought it to replace my OMD-5 Mk2 system because the latter had too many buttons and an awful menu system. I could never remember how to do something and which button to press. I also wanted to remove the temptation to buy more lenses. After 18 months I added an M11 and a couple of lenses. About 18 months later I accepted that I had repeated my error and sold the M11 and lenses. I convinced myself that I needed a small camera with a zoom lens for my landscape photography so I bought a Fuji XT-50. A week later I came to my senses and sold the Fuji.

That was a year ago. The Q2 remains. I suppose it’s about time I did something stupid and buy another camera to use alongside the Q2. So far I’ve resisted the temptation but the new OMD-5 looks interesting…

Depends on where I'm going and doing.  When working, depending on FL needs I'll have my M11 and appropriate lenses and/or D'lux8.  For longer FL needs I'll have my Sonys with a combination of A7r V, A7c r and/or RX10 iv. Different cameras/lenses for different needs.  If out and about in the city I'll have my Q3 43 alone.

For digital photography along with my Q3 28 I have a SL2 plus 20, 50 and 85 primes along with a 24-70.

On the analogue front I have a MP plus 35 Summicron, Nikon FM2n and FA cameras plus an assortment of Nikkor primes, these can be used on the SL2 via a F to L adapter.

I used to have a full compliment of Nikon digital kit, DSLR and Mirrorless but got fed up lugging cameras and big lenses around so sold the lot, I am much happier going out with nothing more than a Billingham Hadley bag, bliss.

My Q3 is my go-to camera. Whenever I’m with family or out for the day, it’s always with me. In addition, I love shooting with the SL 50 Lux, even though the Q3 allows for easy cropping to 50mm. The images from the Lux have something truly special, there’s a unique character to the rendering that I haven’t found in any other lens. So whenever possible, I carry both. 50mm is my favorite focal length, but the 28mm on the Q3 is far more practical for me. I often need something wider, which is why I’m not considering the Q3 43.

I also own the SL 90-280 and the SL 14-24 (Leica version). Those two are very specific lenses that I only take with me when I have a clear purpose in mind. Ideally, my bag contains just the Q3 and the SL with the 50 Lux, that’s my core setup.

I use both an SL2 and SL2-S; the SL3 feels like overkill and doesn’t offer me anything I’m missing. The image quality from the SL cameras is simply outstanding. Since I often use the Q3 on its own and want the option to crop right then and there, I intentionally traded in my Q2, which turned out to be a very good decision.

I currently have the OG Q (mine is a real beat up one and rear wheel doesnt work) an M10 with 28, 35 cron, 9cm elmar and I have just gotten a Sony A7C II.   I am going to Namibia next March and want to use the A7c with a telephoto for the trip, so am currently trying to wrangle this computer disguised as a Camera - so many settings ergh. One of the things that drew me to Leica was you can just set it once and then just take photos!

I am enjoying the Q and seriously thinking of selling the M10 and the beat up Q for a nicely working Q in mint condition.  Remaining funds can go back in the

Like most owners of a Q camera, the Q3 28mm in my case, I do have other cameras next to it; the Q3 is great but I cannot do everything with it. So I have other cameras next to it. You too?

I have been a Fujifilm X shooter for 10 years until I bought my Leica. The camera ruined me; the image quality difference is too big. So I sold most of my Fujifilm set and bought Nikon Z next to it; I have a history before Fujifilm with Nikon. Last year I bought the very nice Nikon Zf. A few weeks ago I bought the amazing Nikon Z8.

What do you use next to your Q or don't you use something next to your Q?

In addition to my Q2, I use a Leica M11, a Leica CL and a Hasselblad X2D-100C.

I have a Q2M and a Q3 28, but I mainly shoot an M11M with an Elmarit 28 (I'm addicted to 28mm). I still have some of my Fuji cameras, in particular the OG X-Pro1, X-Pro2, X100F and GFX50R. For a short time I had a Nikon Zf. It was an amazing camera with insanely good AF and gorgeous image quality, but it was just a little too bulky for my hands. I was sorry to let it go.

Until I purchased the Q3 this summer, I used an SL2 with 35 and 75 APO lenses for use with family, in town, car trips, etc. I also have a CL with 11-23, 18, and 18-56. I use this for long distance hikes (usually with the 18-56, and on my day pack strap with a Capture Clip). I tried the CL for travel, but wasn't satisfied with the low light performance. Thus the Q3.

When I reach for a camera is is the Q3 28.  At times I realize the Q3 will not do it for me, then I will grab my Nikon Z7.  I have lenses that go wider than 28 when needed.  I have a few macro lenses (Leica R 100/2.8 APO and Nikon 105/2.8 Z) if needed, and if I need something say greater than 90mm I will then use my 24-120 (which predated my Q) or my 300/4 PF.  I guess 2/3 of my shots are Q3 but that is kind of deceiving as with the Nikon/Macro, I will take 10-15 shots of a subject for stacking, so that skews the total shots even though all those shots result in one final product.  So I guess it is more like 3/4 of my final shots with the Q3.  It is just a lot more fun to shoot with and the images are amazing.

I have a Ricoh GR IV on order to accompany my Q3 43 for travel, family and daily carry.  Previously when I had a Q2, I also had the Ricoh GR IIIx and really liked the combination for a light weight kit.  I do have a OM System OM-3 camera and lenses for special purposes (wider angle and tele for wildlife/birds), but this mainly sits on the shelf.

The best pair for Q is another Q. Sold my GFX gear and very happy with Q3 + Q3 43. Sometimes I think to simply replace Q3 with an iPhone.  But... at the end of the day both Q's stay.

What's really missing is extreme tele , but carrying around long lens for casual shooting is too much.

It's always possible to rent specific gear for specific shooting : tele , macro, tilt-shift...

For light travel and occasional/family shooting -  28 and 43 are covering everything.

This for me, replaced GFX with Q3, then added Q3 43 later, very happy with my choice, have kept a Fuji X-T3 and 100-400 for the odd motorsport event.

My Q343 is paired either with an M11 or SL3 depending on the weather conditions and event.

For very light travel Q343 goes. alone, but many times its paired with one of the other two.

When I shoot film, the Q3 stays at home, though.
