Phil! Posted July 31 Share #1 Posted July 31 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Everyone , I have found on Ebay this eyecup that solves the problem of extrenuous light that can leak into the viewfinder that can be distracting. I seem to have this problem a lot ,not sure if it is because I shoot left eyed but this fixes the problem. I have read some people have had problems with the rubber surround getting damaged or needing replacement .This fits perfect over the outer viewfinder so instead of replacing the whole viewfinder unit this would solve the problem cheaply. The eyecup is advertised for Q3 but it fits perfectly on Q2. Cost was around $30 Australian. Hope this helps Cheers Phil Addition by the admin: Available here at Amazon for 19$ / 16 € Amazon US, Amazon DE JJC Camera Long Eye Cup Eyecup Soft Eyepiece for Leica Q343 / Q3 Welcome, dear visitor! Full access to the bottom while also protecting it. Free the shoe! 🙂 https://a.co/d/3Xc5iLq Edited July 31 by kbleicher
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Andr Posted August 1 Share #10 Posted August 1 Is the rubber removeable? Thinking about getting this to protect the glass of the viewfinder.
reynoldsyoung Posted August 1 Share #11 Posted August 1 (edited) Rather have the thumb support...even with these old eyes. Edited August 1 by reynoldsyoung
Camaro5 Posted August 1 Share #12 Posted August 1 That eyecup is pretty nice if you're not using the thumb grip. I also have a nice Lim's half case that has a grip on it. I've been told I need to get a grip and now have two on my Q3 28.

BrassMonkey Posted August 3 Share #17 Posted August 3 Thank you … missed the sentence that said the eyecup also fits the Q2. So I guess I’ll give it a try … unless someone has experienced fit problems ? Now, if only we could find a simple hood for the rear LCD screen ? keithlaban.co.uk Posted August 6 Share #19 Posted August 6 (edited) Just received the JJC eyecup for my q3 43. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Delivered from China to the UK in six days. Works brilliantly in combination with my LIM half case and grip. At last no stray light entering the EVF! Thank you. quiet.seattle Posted August 9 Share #20 Posted August 9 Just received the $20 plastic JJC eye cup but I'll be sending it back. While it does protect the EVF glass it obscures and adds shadow to the view, making me squint even more. I use my left eye and wear glasses. It may work great for others, though.
