I shoot M6’s, the occasional Q2 Reporter, and Canon F1Ns-

walking yesterday shooting an F1 N with the 50 1.2 L and it would not focus at infinity! Not dropped, wet, abused or otherwise- just would not focus at infinity. Had the UGH moment of envisioning $350 or more to calibrate

kept shooting- trust the lens, trust the lens..

what was different? I was wearing Transitions prescription Sun glasses! Got home, tried my regular prescription glasses and voila- beautiful focus!
Has anyone experienced this with their Leica film camera?

a great lesson for me!

@BenMathes

You are tricked by the SLR's VF polarized light ?

I bet you use this type of lens, Transitions® XTRActive® Polarized™

I had some weard vision when I wear polarised sun glasses ( Rayban P in my case) and the weird vision became normal with non polarized sun glasses.

In the viewfinder path of SLR or M some polarized effects are used and with polarized glass, maybe this is what you saw.
