SL3 with 70-200mm Leica Crop vs. Converter

As a wedding photographer with the SL3  I think about adding the Leica 70-200mm to my Q3 28mm and 75mm APO. lens. Any advise / experience concerning the use of the 1.4/2.0 teleconverters vs. cropping with the SL3.? Are the loss of stops, weight increase and price-increase not completely disadvantages vs. cropping with the SL3? (Independent from the final composition with the converters which can be an advantage from time to time) The resolution possibilities are insane with the SL3 and the compression comparisons with and without converter questionable. Just wondering who went through the same process and did not buy any converter at the end.

You take photos during a wedding session. I think, that is a disadvantage to manipulate the hardware of your equipment then. Also, somewhat more picture on the sensor is helpful during the post-processing. Today, the software to increase the number of pixels is very good. Otherwise, the loss of stops would not bother me.

Realistically, the converter brings you from 200 to 280. That is only a minor step. 
One stop loss, OTOH, is not dramatic on a modern camera for noise and loss of narrow DOF should be marginal at long focal lengths. IQ is fine.  Summarizing. Not worth the money and hassle, but it won’t harm. IMO of course.
