bcaslis Posted July 31 Share #61 Posted July 31 Advertisement (gone after registration) Apple didn't abandon USB-C, they just added MagSafe. You can charge the laptops via USB-C no problem.

M11 for me Posted July 31 Share #62 Posted July 31 vor 4 Stunden schrieb kiwidad: Perhaps but now I have to purchase more new cables at all the location I charge my phone at so whilst if you have other devices using c connectors it’s convenient for you , for me I had to replace cables everywhere. Did you notice apple have abandoned usb-c for charging in all their laptops? Outside of the actual products the EU demand that companies who export to the EU comply with EU employment policy and all the documentation that goes with that and more. It generated a blood sucking compliant industry which does nothing but raise the product costs to those who do not live in the EU and this specifically is why i dislike the band of thieves called the EU leadership. It goes further than the products itself! I am now mixed up a bit. Finally being outside Europe each individual on the island can now create his/her own cables. Did I miss something? That was the goal of the whole move. Or are there still just a few people who tell you what to do or not to do? If this is the disappointing reality then my advise would be for you to move to Switzerland (you'll probably get asylum here but its not fully sure) and here you can then vote for or against this or that about 10 times every year. If you do not like a cable here (because it came from the EU) then you can go to collect a few signatures (called a political initiative) and after a while we will vote on your initiative. If you win the vote then we can have cables with Wilhelm Tell as the plug. Its great.

My. point is the EU enforces it rules and regs on non eu countries and not just related to the product itself!
jaapv Posted August 4 Share #64 Posted August 4 It doesnt. But it is one of the largest markets in the world and manufacturers tend to comply to be able to sell. And Leica is a European company. What else can they do?
