LocalHero1953 Posted July 20 Share #3 Posted July 20 (edited) Not a lot of water there.... Assuming that's Hardraw Force? Edited July 20 by LocalHero1953
andybarton Posted July 20 Author Share #4 Posted July 20 Judging by the images on Google, this looks pretty typical for a July day, I’d say. We were at Aysgarth the afternoon before and the water level was as low as I’ve ever seen it. We were here, Hardraw Force, the next morning and called back at Aysgarth on the way back to have another walk. It rained heavily overnight between visits and there must have been 10x the amount of water heading over the falls on the return visit. The difference was amazing. It would have been interesting to be at the Force on the previous day. £4 entry fee well spent Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves, was filmed here and at Aysgarth.
LocalHero1953 Posted July 20 Share #5 Posted July 20 I was there for a geology field trip in March, 50 years ago - like all field trips, it was wet.
