Non-Leica Batteries

Any recommendations for non-Leica batteries for the DL8?  There are alot of much less expensive options, if the last and have full functionality.  Same for external chargers.

Most of us find that Leica batteries last longer and exhibit less variance within the brand.
In general stick to third party batteries sold by reputable shops.

I'm using original Leica batteries but a Cellonic dual charger model 934162 for my D-Lux 7.

Should work for the D-Lux 8 either.

The Panasonic DMW-BLG10 is interchangeable with the Leica battery. I use both the Leica BP-DC-15 and the Panasonic DMW-BLG10 in my D-Lux 8 and D-Lux 7.

The Sigma BP-51 battery will also work, but I haven't tried one.

For Leica BP-DC15, Lumix DMW-BLG10, and Sigma BP-51 batteries, the Panasonic Lumix DE-A99 battery charger plugs directly into an electrical outlet, no cables needed. It is a compact unit, measuring approximately 2 1/4 by 3 1/4 inches.

My spare is the Panasonic DMW-BLG10 battery. I read some place that panasonic makes the batteries for the DL8.

Seems to function just like the Leica battery at a fraction of the price.
