Probably taken with pre-focus. The focus hasn't nailed the main subject perfectly. This is typical for Leica M looks. But it really doesn't matter if the image transports the intention. Pic 2 and 3. Main subject in the center with a lot of unsharp in the fore- and background. Typical for a rangefinder composition where the focus patch is in the dead center and you have to imagine (pre-visualize) the unsharp areas. Pic 4. Lots of coma at the frame edges. Typical for a shot with a less perfectly corrected wide angle lens wide open. In modern style AF photography subject aware AF would have killed the atmosphere of picture 1, the average photographer would have changed the composition for picture 2 and 3 (which would have killed the feeling of "capture the moment") and on picture 4 the shot probably would have never been taken in this way (because the EVF preview had revealed the lack of "perfection")

(and the last one the Zeiss Biogon-C 35/2.8 on the M9M) So it is possible to create a "Leica Look" with any brand lens... The whole lens hype originates in gear fixation (*). The way to create a "Leica Lock" is to create the image the way you would using a rangefinder camera with a characterful lens. (*) Which in turn originates from the progress in technology; it moves more and more of the creative process into the automation of the camera and away from the photographer. Pointless discussing any 'look'. We may have found the weak link. For any digital camera, including the M-D 262, you will not see anything near what the camera is capable of without properly processing RAW files/images.
