I often switch values on the thumb wheel although I do not want so. It is so easy to dial... Is there a possibility to lock the thumb-wheel but keep the pressing function to swtich between P/S/A/M? In the menu I found a function to lock but all wheels are then locked what makes little sense...

I don’t know of any way to lock that individual wheel. Since 2016 I’ve never had this issue with the SL, SL2-S or SL3-S. I carry the cameras on a neck/shoulder strap with the back of camera against my body.

Are you resting your thumb on the wheel? I can’t think of any other way to encounter this.

I often shoot using the electronic shutter and use Shutter Priority @ 125th sec shutter speed to prevend banding from artificial lighting.  Sometimes I will accidently move the thumb wheel and change shutter speed.  Locking both wheels would prevent this, but I choose to just switch the wheel functions when in Shutter Priority.  Now the front (or top) wheel controls shutter speed and the thumb wheel controls exposure compensation.  Accidental exposure compensation won't cost me shots, but changing shutter speed does.
