Hello

Anyone who has experiience of keep Q2 after bought Q3 43? Will both be used or only new? I could sell Q2, give it to my boys? Or keep it. I see as back up on vacation trips, no need for Q3 charger as I charge via Q3 and USB-C in that case.

Please if no opinion if keep or not, dont reply. I have had so many persons who take opportunity to question the question. Do that somewhere esle

Some have reported keeping both; some have sold and moved on. There are lots of examples, and reasons… budget issues, preferred focal length, dual usage, etc… throughout the Q section of the forum, even when the thread title poses another issue.

I never gelled with the Q2. I found the autofocus terrible, the shooting experience inferior to an M or SL2, etc. I rarely used it. For the same reasons, I was never tempted to get the Q3. But I did get the Q3 43 and immediately loved it. Autofocus more than acceptable, brilliant lens, loved the focal length. And then, incredibly, I started rediscovering the Q2, the autofocus suddenly didn't seem too bad, and it’s (obviously) easy to switch between the two cameras. It complements the 43 nicely with its wider 28mm focal length.

I’m using the 43 much more than the Q2, but will often bring both cameras. If you have a use or need for 28mm, the Q2 is a wonderful companion.

So far keeping the Q2 because of the lens.  Also there was a thread from a guy who got the Q3 and went back to Q2 because the flip screen is less clean and I kind of also feel the simplicty of Q2 is good.  Also the sale prices tanked so you'd be better off giving it to the kids.
