moe313 Posted June 13 Share #1 Posted June 13 Advertisement (gone after registration) I researched the best digital photo frame to find the perfect one for sharing memories with loved ones, especially for gifting to parents and grandparents. After comparing expert reviews from reliable sources like the new york times, techradar and new york magazine etc, two models consistently come up as top rated recommendations: Aura Carver HD WiFi Digital Picture Frame https://www.amazon.com/Aura/Digital-Picture-Unlimited-Storage-/dp/B09X1XN3FZ/?th=1 Skylight WiFi Digital Picture Frame https://www.amazon.com/Skylight-Frame-Digital-Picture-Anywhere/dp/B01N7ENHO6/?th=1 The Aura Carver HD frame has a crisp HD display, auto photo cropping and easy photo uploads through the aura app. It also includes free unlimited cloud storage and has been the New York Times's pick for best digital photo frame. great for modern design lovers and tech friendly homes. The Skylight Digital frame has a touchscreen interface, email to frame support great for non tech savvy family members and is frequently praised for its simple setup and strong customer support. A popular gift choice. Both frames look excellent but I am having trouble deciding which one is best to meet my needs. I want something that is easy for family members to use, has a reliable app or upload system and preferably a high quality display. Do you have experience with either of these? Would love to hear your thoughts before I buy. Thanks in advance

AlanT Posted June 13 Share #2 Posted June 13 I gave my sister an Aura for Christmas last year and it is superb. The image quality is great and set up was easy. The ability to upload photos to the frame via their app is simple and a great way to share my most recent images. I can highly recommend Aura. I have no experience with the Skylight. Ledormity Posted July 17 Share #4 Posted July 17 I found one with good color accuracy and a decent matte screen made a big difference—no annoying reflections and my images actually look like they do on my monitor.
SrMi Posted July 19 Share #5 Posted July 19 I wish there were HDR-capable photo frames, as the images can look much better. In the meantime, an iPad can serve as a replacement.
Ledormity Posted July 24 Share #6 Posted July 24 (edited) I’ve been using https://www.nixplay.com/ frames for a few months and like how easy they are to set up and manage remotely. The image quality is nice, and sending new photos to family is quick through the app. What I really appreciate is being able to control multiple frames from one account, especially for keeping my parents’ frame updated without them needing to do anything on their end. roydonian Posted August 14 Share #7 Posted August 14 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can one still buy a basic digital photo frame in which the photos are loaded via an SD or micro-SD card rather than via an 'app'?
