Ecologically friendly packaging is important and the right thing to do. The box should protect the camera or lens until it gets to the customer. Then after delivery and opening, what is inside is far more important than the box and packing. I worry about the Echt leder lens pouches' ability to encourage mold/mould in lenses stored in them in humid climates (like coastal locations such as where I live now in Maine, or rainforests like Western North Carolina, where I grew up).
