I guess you disagree?

I am curious as to what the advantages are, seriously. SL3-S over S1II?

I can see that the battery life of the SL3 -S would be better. But what else besides the difference in body design and layout.  I own a lot of Leica but just can’t see much reason for the SL3-S over the Panasonic.

Try them. Just about everything is different when using them.

You claimed that "It’s hard to see the value of the SL3-S vs say a Panasonic S1II" because "the S1II has more features and a much better LCD design."

My reason for purchase: I enjoy using a Leica much more than a Panasonic. For me, enjoying a camera is an essential part of enjoying photography.

It's hard to disagree with that.  Enjoyment is part of the equation.  I guess I just see all the features that Leica left out and good have easily added, at least for the SL3-S, the SL3 with 61 MP has no equal with Panasonic.

Given the comments in the forum, have adjusted expectations when getting a used SL3 body by trading in the CL with 3 zooms, to be mainly for use with m lenses. Had thought long and hard about the M11p/d, but since visoflex will be used majority of times with wider and longer lenses for landscapes, seemed best to take the SL3 with the evf, tilt screen and ibis.

No plans to buy AF L Mount lenses so the SL3 is more like a part of the m kit, along with the M10rBP, vs another system camera.
