Has anyone done a comparison between the 50 Apo on the Q3 and the 50 Apo on the M , just curious because I hear such great things about the Q3 Apo , thanks

Not possible. There is no 50mm APO on the Q3.

There was a comparison to the 35mm apo in a 2024 forum post that may be helpful. 

Leica Miami compared the performance of the Q3 43 lens to the Q3 and the 35mm APO SL and 35mm APO-M. Wide open they are all the same in center. The standard bearer for performance across the Leica line-up, the 35mm APO-Summicron-SL was only slightly sharper in the corners and exhibited less vignetting but surprisingly, the 43mm lens was sharper in the corners than the 35mm APO-M.

I keep being amazed how good the 43 is.  The angle is just right.  Forget 50.

All lenses mentioned excluding the Q 50 are amongst the most technically outstanding.  Excessive imho, the images are improved with negative clarity.

Sorry , silly me , I'm a 50 shooter ... and I've come to think of the 43 as a 50. What I'm looking for is a comparison between the Q3 43's 43 Apo and the 50 M Apo

Although a similar lens comparison would be interesting, I'm sure the different bodies are set up to handle lens rendition differently (between an M and a Q).

What’s the purpose of the comparison? What are your suppositions going into the comparison?

The Q3 43 default sharpening setting in Capture One is too aggressive: reduce radius slider from 0.8 default to 0.5 + lower sharpening slider to taste (can be reduced substantially depending on the subject). Not sure if Lightroom has the same issue.
