setuporg Posted April 14 Share #1 Posted April 14 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've had a bunch of BCP-SL4 batteries from the Q2 and the SL2, and after getting the Q343 am charging them in the two BC-SCL4 chargers I have. I don't see much difference between the new and old batteries in the Q343. I wonder whether others notice much difference in how long they last? Does the newer double charger charge the new batteries better?
Advertisement Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Hi setuporg, Take a look here Existing Leica Q2/SL2 chargers and 2200 vs 1860 batteries. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LocalHero1953 Posted April 14 Share #2 Posted April 14 I don't know about better, but it does charge them quicker. I think the double charger charges in sequence: first one then the other. I thought I had a faulty battery (or charger) because it wasn't charging alongside another one - then I realised that if I left them alone they both ended up charged. I have four BC-SCL4 and one BC-SCL6, but I haven't tracked whether they behave differently in the charger. Using a small, light USB-C cable is a big advantage over a bulky mains power cable is a big benefit for me when travelling.

I have 2 SCL4 batteries and bought a new SCL6 battery with my SL2. Did not tested charging speed nor how much more photos i could take using the SCL6 as i rarely drain the battery, but i feel that there is no difference using the SLC4 single battery charger from my Q2. I have also the Nitecore SLC4/SLC6 USB charger whats is handy for traveling due it's small size and weight. If it's true that the SCL6 has 400mAh more then she should last longer than the SCL4.
