Kmaansson Posted April 11 Share #1 Posted April 11 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi! I'm looking for a download link for the (now very dated) Digital Capture software, for Windows XP. To support tether shooting with my M8. I'm Assuming the Mac version won't work on newer OS versions, som I'm looking for anyone with the .exe file working with XP, since im already running XP on a partition. I also found a link from Leica, on Google, that seems to be broken/invalid: https://us.leica-camera.com/assets/file/download.php?filename=file_4044.zip
jaapv Posted April 11 Share #4 Posted April 11 So just ask Leica Customer Service - Hint: Wetzlar is the most likely to give you a positive answer.

chris_livsey Posted April 11 Share #7 Posted April 11 Advertisement (gone after registration) Did the CD included with the M8, Capture One LE, not allow for capture? To answer my own question: The M8 is supplied with two CD-ROM's containing the following: Disc one - Leica Digital Capture 1.0 (Windows / Mac OS X), PDF user manuals (various languages) Disc two - Capture One LE RAW Workflow Software (Windows / Mac OS X) As an alternative download to find perhaps. Will fiddle with it and hopefully make it work! Out of curiosity I installed Leica Digital Capture on my Win 11 machine and ran it in XP compatibility mode. My M8 connected and hitting capture operates the shutter but, like you, no file is created either DNG or JPG. I have an old laptop running XP which I use to control my astronomical telescope (it is over 15 years old and requires serial port connections). When I installed Leica Digital Capture on the XP machine everything ran as expected, the camera connected, image was captured and files (both DNG and JPG) transferred to the nominated directory. I'm not a 'computer geek' so I can't advise except perhaps running XP on a separate partition or get an old machine to run XP on. Hope you find a suitable solution.

I use a 32-bit version of XP on VMware Fusion (on Mac OS) to use with my Pakon f-135 scanner and this version of XP did not work well with Digital Capture. I just installed a 64-bit version and this works flawlessly. It takes less than a second from hitting "capture" until i have an .dng file sitting in a file on Mac OS, ready to be edited. Hooray! Thanks for the files @JohnW.! hoping this thread will help others, at some point Edited April 12 by Kmaansson
