mwktar Posted April 9 Share #1 Posted April 9 Advertisement (gone after registration) So I know this is a preference situation, but just after opinions as I can’t try both recently tried chrome (lovely brass!) asph v1 35mm - really liked it but the focus throw was inconsistent throughout so returned have found a replacement chrome, BUT an ebay seller has just given me an offer on a V2 (not chrome obviously) for £200 less than I was about to pay for the replacement v1 Just after some opinions of what you would do - obviously the v2 won’t have the sexy brass heft, but it’s also a newer lens I shoot m3/m7 for 35mm and m10 for digital if that factors in to any discussion/opinion! Advertisement Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Hi mwktar, Take a look here 35mm cron opinions: asph v1 chrome or asph v2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
hansvons Posted April 9 Share #2 Posted April 9 V2 has more aperture blades for a rounder bokeh. I can’t care less, for others bokeh is everything. V1 has otherwise the same optics. Both deliver the same sharp images with character and soul. Love the Summicron ASPH.
lct Posted April 9 Share #3 Posted April 9 I did not change my mind since this post. You cannot go wrong with either version anyway. Happy snaps 😀
