NightPix Posted April 8 Share #1 Â Posted April 8 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Over time I've developed user profiles on my SL2 for various shooting scenarios. I'd like to transfer these profiles to my SL2-s. I tried exporting them to the SL2 memory card, then importing them into the SL2-s but I get an error message ("Import Failed"). There's nothing wrong with the memory card (works in both cameras). Is there another way to move profiles between the SL2 and SL2-s than going through their menus a line at a time? Advertisement Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Hi NightPix, Take a look here Moving user profiles from SL2 to SL2-s. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jonathan Levin Posted April 9 Share #2  Posted April 9 (edited) If it were me, I’d manually do the settings on the SL2-s. Use your SL2 as a guide to set up the various menus, then save that as profile. Nothing is easy. Will probably take 30 minutes. hoolyproductions Posted April 9 Share #3 Â Posted April 9 Yes, you have to do this manually. The cameras have their own firmware and some small differences in the sub-menus (e.g. frame rate for burst shooting) that mean you cannot import from one to the other. It's a bit of a hassle indeed but does not take so long
jaapv Posted April 9 Share #4  Posted April 9 No, that is not possible. You must reformat a card before using it in another type of  camera and that wipes the profile file, which cannot be read anyway.
