S Maclean Posted March 29 Share #1 Posted March 29 Advertisement (gone after registration) Kind of puzzled, it was there and then it was not, just when I was going to use it. So I had to use the hasselblad for it but it's more complicated becasue it needs to be tethered etc. Anyway, does anyone know what really happened and if there is a chance a firmware fix will be possible? Advertisement Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Hi S Maclean, Take a look here Whatever happened to the Multi-Shot mode (SL3). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LD_50 Posted March 30 Share #2 Posted March 30 It wasn’t included with SL3.

Ning Ning Posted March 30 Share #4 Posted March 30 I am increasingly getting the impression that the SL3 is being treated very neglected as far as the firmware is concerned. It's been around for a year and very little has improved. A few small new features, but the AF is still far behind what's usual these days and indeed, multishot would have been something. The biggest annoyance for me, however, is the blurred viewfinder during continuous shooting. This should not happen and if it does, it should be fixed as a priority.

The SL3-S has it (and SL2/SL2-S). Leica has not confirmed if they plan to implement it on the SL3 (some people say that they verbally said during the launch event in Wetzlar that they were "working on it" but I have not seen any confirmation of this).

Wow .... didn`t know this. That`s just saved me some money. I occasionally use multi shot although prefer not to.

Ah…. That’s where I saw it then, as I was with a friend that has the sl3-S and he was showing to me its use for a dessert landscape. I assumed the sl3 would share this feature. Strange that the sl3 would not have it. maybe a file size issue? Hasselblad has it with much larger files but the work is done in “Phocus” not camera. Jon Warwick Posted March 30 Share #8 Posted March 30 Disappointing that multishot hasn’t materialised in the SL3. Perhaps means that if one wants higher resolution than 60mp, one now needs to wait for a possible S4 medium format camera?

Perhaps means that if one wants higher resolution than 60mp, one now needs to wait for a possible S4 medium format camera? AFAIK SL2 is the largest mpx camera Leica produces. I use multi-shot quite a lot. It’s great to have in the field, especially for scenes that you may crop to panorama. One of the things that keeps me from looking more into SL3 (other than still building a lens system…) 1

It’s been clear since Leica released several cameras with the 60MP sensor that it’s the highest resolution (without multishot) offered from Leica or anyone in FF. If you accept that multi shot provides higher than 60MP, you have multiple options available from Leica.
algrove Posted April 2 Share #11 Posted April 2 sure would like to see multi shot arrive on the next FW upgrade. Got it with my SL3s and the new Panasonic 44MP camera has it with 177MP images.
