jaapv Posted March 27 Share #1 Posted March 27 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes I know - not Leica- better than most, but in 2004 there was little digital Leica for serious use around and I cannot find an DMR file as bad. Browsing through old files I chanced on an old Canon 10D shot from a safari in South Luanga, Zambia, in 2004. Let's see what we can do with relatively little trouble to a slightly noisy (😜) old file: Original: Welcome, dear visitor! But Object Removal AI in PS (which works very well on more defined objects) plus a bit of cloning can help more or less. Welcome, dear visitor! 250swb Posted March 28 Share #13 Posted March 28 Isn't the colour balance a bit off? I've tried in Photoshop by pressing 'Auto Colour' and it both corrects the cast and also improves the colour contrast across the picture.
jaapv Posted March 28 Author Share #14 Posted March 28 Debatable - this was still a tungsten spotlight. You don't want it too cool not to lose the tropical night feeling. I did hit auto contrast in PS, though But yes, certainly room for improvement here, thanks 😀 Interesting what one can pull from such old technology - it was one of the first high-end DSLRS, after the D30, the very first. A high MP camera, jumped up from 3 MP to 6.3. Puts the present MP race rather into perspective... Welcome, dear visitor!
