ErikFive Posted January 6, 2008 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have posted this over at Rff as well, but thought that this also could be a nice place to ask so pardon my "double post". Can anyone tell me something about this adapter. I bought this pristine MDa thinking I would use it as a wide-angle M body for the 15cv or just to sell it to someone that would use it with that purpose and I got the adapter as well. Actually the seller sold the adapter and said in the ad that an MDa body was attached in the other end I have searched high and low, but the only thing I find is the Micro-ibsor and the pictures I have seen of it is different from this one. This is also a M-mount and I would guess that it would be a great tool for someone who likes the M8 and a microscope. Is this the same as the micro-ibsor and just a newer model? Can anyone tell me some more about it? I cant find a serial or other number on it. I have seen a couple on ebay, but without the front attachment and the seller didnt seem to know what it was either. Thanks in advance Erik

Pecole Posted April 20, 2009 Share #5 Posted April 20, 2009 This more-than-one-year-old thread discovered when rummaging through historical postings. In case it has not yet been identified, this micro attachment is a "Kavar" 81965) and is coded 543040 for the M version, and 503041 for the screw mount. There was also the possibility to attach a Microsix exposure meter probe on the side.
pierovitch Posted May 1, 2009 Share #6 Posted May 1, 2009 If you like browsing old microscope manuals this site is a gold mine. Index of /docs/leitz The Adaptor should slide into the trinocular head of an Ortholux or Diaplan Microsope. as they had the same fitting from the 50's to the 80's I am not sure about the more recent ones as they changed the standard tube length which might cause parfocal errors.
