Hi, does anyone know how to adjust the focus on a 135mm Elmarit M. My copy is back-focusing and with the age of the lens Leica are reluctant to service it.

I am hoping that an adjust to the goggles might fix the issue. Any suggestions please? By the way I am in Ireland so the UK and USA are not in order for me to send the lens. The custom paperwork would drive me nuts.

Before changing somethink at the googles I would check out if they really are the problem. I doubt this a bit.
In the end they just magnify the rangefinder. If you have a camera with LiveView you can see it most clearly.

My copy was fine close by, but off in the distance. A stay at Leica CS at Wetzlar cured that.

If you are in Ireland sending it to Germany shouldn't be so hard?

I have this lens. I use it only occasionally on an M-P(240) and an SL2. When I went 'digital' with an M9 I noticed that the lens needed some attention, it was adjusted by Leica. Fro Ireland you could send it to Wetzlar for adjustment.

The goggles have nothing to do with the back or front focusing of the lens.

That is good to know that Leica adjusted the lens for you. I will give them a try again. 👍
