Hi - I'm new here so please forgive me if I'm missing something / not following protocol but...

Does anyone know the best way to encourage Leica to facilitate shooting video (I should have stressed this!) in Blackmagic RAW (BRAW) on the SL3-S? Or does anyone have any news / views on this / the likelihood of it happening?

Thank you!

I seem to recall that Sony was working on some sort of BRAW capability on a couple of its cameras, but it involves a hardware component, not just software. Not something that can be done with a firmware update.

And welcome to the Forum!

if you are talking about the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR, this recorder supports only the SL2s.

Unless firmware comes from Blackmagic, there will be no support for it.

Yes, I should have been clearer (lesson learned) - that's exactly what i'm talking about. The SL2-S is compatible with the 12G BM Video Assist. I have been on to Blackmagic re the SL3-S and compatibility with their video assists and I've been told that I also need to get onto Leica as support requires co-operation from both parties. Does anyone know anything about this?
