I read a review of this lens and it speaks very well of it. 
I am convinced it will never be like the original Leica, but has anyone had any experience with it?

There is a thread regarding this lens. Most of the posts were made after it was announced but before deliveries were available so it would be neccessary to skip down to post #39 to get the first - and, it would seem only - true "hand's-on" appraisal;

I'd personally pick the LLL over the Leica any day, mostly because of the 0.7 MFD vs 1m of the Leica.

Mine is incoming tomorrow to be used on the M9M.
I have often looked at originals but age/wear/coating/dust/CLA issues plus the 1m min focus distance always made me pause.

I’m hoping this will distract me from the latest Leica 50 Lux classic…for a while at least🤞🏻

My early example came and is impressive, but the focus calibration was off enough to be a problem. DAG has it now to calibrate.

I have 2 Leica Rigids and the look and feel of the LLL is comparable.

No such thing as too many 50's.
