Popular Post fotografr Posted February 24 Popular Post Share #1 Posted February 24 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I photographed this SpaceX launch a couple of weeks ago from a nice location at the base of the San Jacinto mountains. The timing was perfect for getting the deep blue dusk sky with the rocket and it's trail illuminated by the setting sun on the other side of the mountains. The only problem is that Elon Musk wasn't in the capsule--just StarLink satellites. D-Lux 8 Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted February 25 Share #2 Posted February 25 A terrific photo. it reminds me of watching a test launch of a Minuteman III missile from Vandenberg AFB, when I was still a steely-eyed killer. And it is a shame he wasn't the payload. 2

I think the D-Lux 8 is a capable little camera. When I go out with just that camera, I don't feel under equiped at all.
m410 Posted March 3 Share #5 Posted March 3 (edited) I enjoyed the same launch from San Luis Obispo. It was a specular sight and you have certainly captured a great and descriptive image. And YES on the unfortunate capsule vacancy... Edited March 3 by m410 1
lukeadair Posted March 3 Share #6 Posted March 3 Wonderful shot. I have caught several of these launches from my home in Mission Viejo, but never with the D-Lux 8. And to echo others here, it is tragic that Pudding Face himself was not on board, strapped inside one of those hideous Cybertruck abominations. 2
fotografr Posted March 4 Author Share #7 Posted March 4 Advertisement (gone after registration) There's another launch scheduled for Tuesday a little past 7 pm. I'm hoping the trajectory will be the same as this one so I can watch it until it's out of sight.
