Q2M is a great camera and without stating the obvious, only shoots B&W.
Q3 can be setup to shoot B&W which gives you B&W jpegs and a a Monochrome EVF along with a full colour DNG.

In terms of processing and software, I think perhaps there is more flexibility processing a colour DNG into a B&W image with more adjustments tools effecting the RGB of the original colour DNG.

The Q3. I have gone back and forth as to whether or not I should get a monochrom. Looking at images and what I can get out of my Q3, I just do not see the advantage of a mono only camera, at least for me. I love B&W images but I also love color. I get the idea of a different mindset walking out the door but, what if I am out and I see something that just begs for color? I already carry too much stuff and the Q3 is just a wonderful, very capable camera. Plus the ability to use color sliders in PP is something that is valuable to me. Everyone is different so we can't tell you what will work best for you. Good luck with the decision.

Neither, choose a M10 monochrome.  If you want to shoot black and white the mindset is different than color.  The M monochrome will be more versatile than a Q2M.  But of course the choice is yours.

It really depends on what you like to photograph. I’ve had both. The Q2M is much sharper than the it’s Q2 counterpart and much much better in low light, but in the end I found I didn’t use it as much as I thought I would. I love shooting in b&w and I loved the Q2M but carrying a second camera for color was a hassle. When the Q3 came along I sold the Q2M and haven’t regretted it. The Q3 -with all its improvements over the Q2 - meets my b&w needs, but it’s harder for me to get into the b&w mindset. I recommend setting up a user profile for b&w and keeping it there.

B & W half the year all by itself.
But the coffee afterwards today’s round in in colour.

Went through this same decision recently as I shoot probably 95% B&W.  Went with the Q3 43 and don’t regret it at all, definitely nice having an easy option for color if I need it.  And I like the new button layout more on the Q3 versus the Q2, not to mention the higher resolution since I tend to crop a lot.

That’s pretty much my thinking

And yet the Q3-43 isn’t even an option in your first post.

So, other than color vs b/w, focal length, and camera generation, you’ve got this nailed. 🤪

With such limited information, whatever answer you get is just someone’s opinion on what they prefer rather than what might be the better fit for you. What type of photography do you enjoy? How important is the restriction of no colour to you, how important is shooting in very low light.  Do you ever shoot colour? Do you have another camera that you will be keeping? Give us something!🤣

IMHO Q3, higher quality, more features (like the tiltable screen)  and more versatile (a color photo can be converted in BW, not the contrary, and converting from color you can tweak the different color rendition in BW)
