Leitzfan Posted February 12 Share #1 Posted February 12 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone have a lead to a rear cap for a Leitz Hector 12.5cm f/2.5 lens? I seek to buy the rear cap only, for this lens. Thanks. P.S. I know that any regular LTM rear cap will work; but I seek *this specific* stand cap. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Hi Leitzfan, Take a look here Rear cap for Leitz Hektor 12.5cm f/2.5 lens?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted February 12 Share #2 Posted February 12 (edited) It's a back cap (code HGOOI - then 14053 (*) ) that engages into the hood (reversed) and, together with the front cap, makes a stylish "cylinder box" ... not difficult to find a complete Hektor with them... not easy to find the single component 🤒 .. expecially for the back cap was provided with the lens, and, afaik, only available as spare ... "search patiently on the net" is the only advice.. 😗 (*) 14053 is, currently, the back cap for Noctlux 50 f 0,95, which makes the search not easier... 🤒 Edited February 12 by luigi bertolotti
Leitzfan Posted February 13 Author Share #3 Posted February 13 (edited) Success! After just 5 days of searching online, I (email) inquired with Tamarkin [www.tamarkin.com] for this rear lens stand cap--and voila--they have one (they replied to me w/in 24 hrs.)--in great shape & *very* reasonably priced! So, I snagged it. 🙂 Mission accomplished--simple, just like that! I've been doing business with Tamarkin, off & on, since 1996 & should've had faith in them, from the start--would've saved me some search time. The online transaction was quick & easy. They never disappoint! Edited February 13 by Leitzfan
UliWer Posted February 13 Share #4 Posted February 13 But now you certainly need the hood as well: Welcome, dear visitor! I love 5 letters codes, and think to have good records about .. and never saw a TINOP,. Please, Uli, tell me that is a joke... 😁 (some kind of funny acronym...) UliWer Posted February 13 Share #6 Posted February 13 Yes, the TINOP seems to be really rare, I never saw a photo - not even jc_braconi shows one. Though they say it will be on offer in the next auction by Lars Netopil. Though I think this solution from LazyLensLib seems to be interesting as long as one cannot find the real TINOP: Welcome, dear visitor!
