I recently bought a 65mm Elmar (second black version) for the Visoflex reflex housing.

I noticed that it slightly focus past infinity. It's not a big problem as you can see clearly when to stop but I remember to have read somewhere that it's a wanted feature (to correct for the various tolerances), is it true?

It's really not a problem since you're not scale focusing anyway. This is common with special purpose lenses of all types, including some autofocus lenses because of the seeking nature of early AF systems needing to get on the "other side" of focus, even at infinity, and teles, which can drift in their precise focal lengths due to temperature changes.

Year, probably I'm used to rangefinder lenses.

Just for info, is there a way to register infinity focus on a visoflex lens that apparently has no bayonet or shims?

Yes, thanks.

I happen to have two 16464 adapters. Both show the same problem with the 65 elmar and both are fine with a 135 Tele Elmar head.

I suppose that the adjustment should be made in the 65 elmar head. That's why I asked.

Maybe It's just how the 65mm is supposed to focus, since it's not a common lens I haven't got any info about it's infinity behaviour.
