SL2-s with the Tri-Elmar 16-18-21

I am looking for something wider for my SL2-s,  I still use my Super Elmar 21mm, which I love for many reasons, but mainly for its compact size.  When I had my M10, it was my #1 used lens.  The new SL 14-24 seems way too large and heavy.  So I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the Sri Elmar 16-18-21.

Jimleicam3,  My experience with the SL2-S and WATE combo, I can say it works very well with the camera.  Depending on your genre of photography and level of detail you need, the lens works best at f/8 to f/11.  It is high resolving and has little distortion across the frame.  The color is superb too.  There is a Red Dot Forum video on comparing SL Super-wide angle SL lenses and included are example photographs with the M WATE lens.  Below is the link.   r/ Mark

PS  The WATE was just discontinued by Leica and I believe the Leica Store Miami has a high serial number WATE available.  I have no connection with that vendor.

I don’t think it’s discontinued. It still shows on Leica USA for sale.

Jdiaing,   This was on Leica Rumors and my Leica dealer in CA told me, it was discontinued along with the M 135 and SL 50 Summilux.  There are some dealers with remaining stock and of course, plenty of used ones too.  r/ Mark

Leica USA still shows it as available and for sale. Dealers may have discontinued carrying it.
