Wwin Posted January 31 Share #1 Posted January 31 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, before i’m going to buy the Steel Rim as a second hand version, i can try it out for one week thanks to my camerashop. I shot already with it and love the images what it produces. Butt…..there is one thing….the aperture ring is VERY wobbly and i ask my camerashop about it. They answer that it’s not a big deal because of these type of lenses. I was a little bit of shock by this answer because it’s a expensive lens 😉 is this a thing what is ‘normal’ by this lens?? Should i accept this??? love to hear from you!!

Should i accept this??? love to hear from you!! The aperture ring on SR wobbles a little bit. I have handled more than 5 copies and they all wobble. But not “very”. I’m not sure about your standard as for how much wobbling is considered VERY wobble. But I’m personally very happy with my current copy and don’t see it “very” wobble. As others have said, just walk away if you don’t like it. It’s that simple
RobW0 Posted January 31 Share #4 Posted January 31 I can not speak for the original SR but the reissue has a bit of wobble in the aperture ring.

It's a feature on several recent issue lenses that can be 'tightened' by adjustment by Leica if you are prepared to wait six months. If you can't live with it pass
