Jean-Hervé Posted January 23 Share #1 Posted January 23 Advertisement (gone after registration) My recently purchased Q343 (firmware 3.0.0) tends to heat up. Do any of you have this problem?

LocalHero1953 Posted January 23 Share #2 Posted January 23 (edited) It heats up with a lot of use, but it doesn't cause any problems. It seems to be the upper left side - perhaps arising from the EVF - but I don't know where the main processing action is carried out in the body. It keeps my hands warm. My SL2-S generates heat as well, but I don't notice it till I've put it in the bag to take home; the heat can't dissipate and it is noticeably warm when I get home. Le Chef Posted February 1 Share #6 Posted February 1 Switch off all the crap, like the rear screen, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. That will keep it cooler and help make the battery last longer.

Cogito Posted February 1 Share #8 Posted February 1 my Q343 only heats up if I leave on Leica Fotos Connectivity, also runs down the battery even if camera is off. this was the case both before and after 3.0.0. I turn on Connectivity only while downloading photos, then turn it back off.

Hence 60 divided by 47 multiplied by 100 equals the amount of additional heat. Very simple. On the other hand I must say that my Q3 does not contribute to heating my house.
