I bought a used M11, and it did not come with an instruction manual. I have tried and cannot find a way to purchase on the Leica website. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. I have downloaded the manual, but would like a bound copy. Does anyone have a link to where I can buy one?

Leica Ms don't come with instruction manuals. The manuals are online, but if you need a PRINTED BOOKLET MANUAL you can order yours FREE with your camera's serial here:

My M10 had one in the box. I guess Leica went cheap and quit providing one for the M11's. Thanks for the link

Tip:

You can use your phone, or....

Go on eeek!Bay and pick up a used Kindle in the size you'd like. They vary in size from sub-paperback up to the recently released Scribe, which has a screen the size of a common hardback (finally).

Mine have become the repositories for the huge collection of pdf-based manuals that has accumulated over the years.

That is the reason that the OP was unable to purchase one. It’s free. 😉

The M11 comes with an almost useless "Quick Start" abbreviated manual, ( or at least my M11-D did ), if you want the more complete printed manual do as Al Brown says in post #3........

I went to the link that Al Brown provided and submitted the form. It is free as was said. I still don't understand why Leica did not include a manual in the box as my M10 had. For as much as they charge for their equipment, it would seem they would include the manual. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the manual from Leica? Thanks again for the replies.

Mine came through the post, ( Germany to France ), in about ten days but I had to chase them for it twice..........As to why they don't include a full manual, as I agree they should, well that's how everything is going these days I am afraid. I bought a toaster last week, in the box was.......just a toaster. No paperwork, guarantee card or even a manual just a f'ing Q code on the box aiming you to where to download them.

You can download the pdf in about 30sec from this link:

I find the pdf far more useful than the printed manual nowaday.

Good for you........I don't

Thank you I am happy with my choice. Far easier to keep track of the pdf and takes up a lot less space.

Just me I guess.........I suppose then with downloading a PDF you'd view that on a 'phone/computer/pad screen? I try to limit and reject any kind of "screen time" that I can, but then each to his own, whatever works best for one is the way to go.

In a perfect world I'd always have both.  Printed for the times I want to sit in my easy chair and study.  PDF for the ability to search for specific items to answer that question I want answered RIGHT NOW!

My workaround is to place a copy of the PDF on my iPad and use it when in sit-and-study mode.

The reason given was environmental - They found that only a small percentage of users actually used the manual and they didn't want to waste paper and resources. It is not really a cost thing - handling requests and sending them out cost money as well.
