User's guide on pages 25/26 says the number in lower right of "live view" screen indicates "remaining number of recordings". Actually, the number displayed there increases as shots are taken. J S H Posted January 3 Share #3 Posted January 3 (edited) Actually, if you hit the menu button, it shows the number of remaining images and free memory in the upper left corner. Also shows the settings for storage management, but it seems to only reflect the SD card, and not internal memory, even if you have storage management set to SD+IN. In live view, it does show the number of remaining images as well, in the bottom right corner. I have seen this number fluctuate during use, so I think the count in the menu screen is more accurate. Not sure where the manual is obtuse or incomplete in this case. The number increases as shots are taken in review mode, not live view mode, hence my suggestion above. If that is true, it’s hard to understand why the number displayed increases as shots are taken. Of course I should have been aware of the info displayed under the menu button. This is true "when taking a picture in live view mode", as the manual states, the same way as the opposite is true in review mode IMHO. algrove Posted January 5 Share #9 Posted January 5 I myself only use the Internal SSD if I have forgotten an SD card. Otherwise it is turned off since as with all SSD they, for lack of a better term, wear out with many write cycles over time. Thanks JSH.
