DreiPunkte Posted December 24, 2024 Share #1 Â Posted December 24, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I am looking for an Elmar 35mm to match my IIIc/f 1950 but how do I recognize the different lenses in pictures on the internet or is it possible to recognize them by the serialnumbers. As far as I have learned the 11 o'clock model hits the self-timer. Thanks foe any help Edited December 24, 2024 by DreiPunkte
Advertisement Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Hi DreiPunkte, Take a look here Elmar 3,5cm f3,5 11 o'clock or 7 o'clock. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
UliWer Posted December 24, 2024 Share #2  Posted December 24, 2024 The little „wheel“ to set the slow shutter times may be a problem with a lens with focus tab on 11 o`clock. Only very early models of the 35mm Elmar have an 11 o‘clock focus tab. If you look for a serial number higher than 200.000 you‘ll be safe that it is a 7 o‘clock version.

Use serial number lists to find an 'age appropriate' item for your camera. https://reddotcamera.net/leica-lenses/serial-number/ William
