stuny Posted November 21, 2024 Share #2 Posted November 21, 2024 She's lovely, as is the photo. In my opinion, her face is just a tiniest bit overexposed. 2
pedaes Posted November 21, 2024 Share #3 Posted November 21, 2024 Very nice! I quite like the high key face and hair contrasting with her clothes and background. 2

But as you know this is the light situation which I like a lot: bright face and darkness in the background Am 21.11.2024 um 15:47 schrieb pedaes: Very nice! fotografr Posted November 23, 2024 Share #5 Posted November 23, 2024 You caught a very nice expression here. I've noticed with some of your recent posts a tendency to have the model's head close to the middle in portrait mode, leaving quite a bit of space at the top. I'm wondering if this is intentional, or if you might have an aversion to cropping in post?

I try this version as you have mentioned which also helps me to get the best results wide open because it is easier to focus with the person in the middle. And more often I do portraits in the landscape format. But it is really depending on my mood
Ernest Posted November 29, 2024 Share #7 Posted November 29, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) When you go landscape, it becomes cinematic, especially with APO out of focus BG and the play of shadow work.

Yes Ernest, I totally agree with you. It is worth to try it, especially with one of the Cinestill films
