This link to a previous thread might help.

I have the one for the Q3 and also the Leica one and have been using the Leica one at the present time as the buttons are easier to use with it.  The Match Technical Q3 one is also raised above the top of the camera (as I suspect the Q2 one is) and makes it just a bit more difficult (for me) to adjust the shutter speed dial.  That said, I really like the feel of the Match Technical one (especially the slight angle to the thumb rest).

Ah, the link explained that the Q2 Match Technical will work on the Q3. Thanks for the link!

Out of interest, anyone tried this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Leica-Camera-Support-Aluminum-Handgrip/dp/B0DNDT1YJ9
It looks like a good design..

I’m using this one, even before they took out the Wetzlar Germany printing on it.

It’s exactly same as the original Leica one, in material and shape and quality, but less than half of the price.

The one I bought last year when Q3/43 came out around October, has Wetzlar Germany printing. You wouldn’t be able to tell the difference even this one put side to side with a genuine one.

Well well - I'm glad I ordered one! Thanks for the update.  It looks much better than ones that go above the function buttons...

And in all of this there’s such a conflict between what we can get for a reasonable price, our desire for quality, and the economic crises in Germany, the UK, France, the US etc. How we (ah, but who is “we” in this conversation) manage to allow firms to make profits and proved employment in the countries where some of this forum live, and deal equitably with the emerging (emerged!) East Asian economies is complex! In the meantime Jeff Bezos is doing ok, and we’re sucking it up!  Aaargh…

Another option (and the one I bought):

for Leica Q3 Thumb Grip Camera... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKH5BX2S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

it is absolutely indistinguishable from the Leica version, including the Leica branding (inside and out), Wetzlar stamp, and serial number under the part that inserts into the hotshoe. Even says “made in Portugal.” I’m convinced it comes from the exact line that makes the Leica version, but at 1/4 the price.

Did you even read others' posts before posting your reply?
