Haven't seen much talk about this but Fjorden is now part of Leica and they've integrated control of the Fjorden grip into Leica Lux. I used the combination this weekend. There is a lot of freedom to use a variety of emulations from different "looks" to different lenses like Noctilux 50/1.2. Summilux 35, and Noctilux 75 1.2. It's fun. My only complaint is that when using in "P" mode there is no smooth zooming. Only 1x, 2x 3x etc.  Photos are fun and the grip is nice to work with once I've gotten used to it. All shot on iPhone with the Leica Lux app and Fjorden grip.

What is a Fjorden grip?

I’ve just looked it up. Fjorden makes a physical device that attaches to the back of your phone and gives you real camera controls. They also made a camera app that worked with it. Leica bought Fjorden a year ago and it looks like the Lux app is the Fjorden app with a new skin. I downloaded the Fjorden app, but you now cannot use it without either having the Fjorden grip or having the Lux app. I assume the Fjorden brand will eventually disappear and the grip will be badged as Leica.

As attempts go to turn a phone into a traditional camera this looks like one of the better ones - at a price!

Tried the Fjorden Grip using the Leica Lux app today.  It definitely has potential when caught without your camera.  Grip can be removed in a split second and moved to your pocket, allowing iPhone to remain same overall size.
