We are very sorry, but we have to cancel again at short notice. Dagmar has been given an appointment for surgery to remove the screws and plates from her foot, which she broke last year. We are sad that we will not be able to attend again this year, but the surgery can’t be postponed.
We wish you a great stay and lots of fun.

Dagmar & Carsten

@Dagmar & @photolotse

I hope the procedure goes without complications and painlessly.  I can't be there this year either so I hope to see you both next year.

Pete.

This is potentially very bad news.

Keep an eye on this if you're coming to Palma. I've had no notification from British Airways, but they'll be affected too.

For us, whether flying via Dutch and German, Swiss and Italian airspace or way out over the Atlantic is an option, I doubt.

There's a lot of money riding on this!

Hotel costs, flights, the deposit we've paid for the dinner.

I will be very cross if this comes to pass.

Unfortunately, there is no (sensible) alternative but to fly there.

I am sad and will miss my two German teachers. Hope it all goes well.

As I take off from a French airport, I will just have to arrive at the airport and pray.

I am "glass half full" this morning and heading out shortly to make sure that we have everything that we need for the Challenge trip, which IS going to happen next Saturday.

I might even buy some new Factor 50.

And now for the good news 👍😊

The strike has been called off.

Phew!

(I know that the article claimed a number of reasons for the strike being called off but I think we all know that it was really the effect it would have had on the One Challenge that caused the French Air Traffic Controllers to cancel the strike.)

I arrived back from a two week Photo tour of Iceland early this morning and am now looking forward to some warm weather. Safe travels everyone and we're (Eileen and I) looking forward to catching up with you all next weekend.

I have just bought two tickets for the train and tram to Soller and the port.

The return tickets seem to be selling out fast. Once you have booked a train, you cannot change the time of travel.

Wishing you all an enjoyable trip to Palma.

I’m disappointed I can’t join you this year, but very much looking forward to seeing everyone’s images of Palma and taking part in the vote.  I’m waiting excitedly to find out where we’re off to next year.

Good luck all and best wishes,

Sonia x
